For over 30 years, The Door has been rebuilding Baltimore neighborhoods by transforming the lives of residents and creating opportunities for youth t0 succeed socially and academically.
The Door started as an initiative of former Baltimore Colts defensive lineman, Joe Ehrmann. The Baltimore Urban Leadership Foundation, Inc., also known as The Door, has been serving as an “Umbrella of Hope” in East Baltimore and the Greater Baltimore community for over three decades.
The Door has worked to support Baltimore’s communities through a faith based approach in the development of its programs which help residents through:
- collaborative partnerships
- direct service
- capacity-building
- resource development
The Door offers a diverse array of programming geared to helping both the children and family. Our programs include educational enrichment, mentorship, and a community pantry.
